3. Processing of appointment letters Supervisors •    Dean

•  Minutes of proposal presentation at School/Institute
Within two weeks after approval of proposal at the School/Institute
4. Processing of letter of data collection •    Dean
•  Administrative Assistant
   Free • Signed proposal
•  Signed certificate of corrections (Proposal)
Within a day after submitting the listed documents
5. Thesis oral examination •    Dean     Free • Duly filled intent to submit form
• 6 copies of Signed spiral bound theses
• Fee statement indicating zero statement
Within two months after submission of thesis for examination at SGSR
6. Written Notification of verdict and receipt of examiners reports and defence minutes  •  Administrative Assistant
• Dean
    Free •  Attendance and presentation of thesis in oral examination meeting Within one week after oral examination
7. Issuance of letter of completion (issued upon request)  •    Dean     Free • Six copies of final hard bound theses duly signed
• Duly signed Certificate of Thesis Correction
 Within a day after submission of  Final Hard Bound thesis and           signed certificate of corrections

The School of Graduate Studies & Research of Dedan Kimathi University of Technology was established in the year 2010 with two postgraduate programmes in Business management. With the growth of the university and continued delivery of competitive postgraduate programmes, the School of Graduate Studies & Research has grown and currently offers four doctoral programmes and twelve Masters Programmes with a total student population of over 500 students.
